I took a proper adventure liveaboard exploring Oman's lesser-known dive sites, where the reefs see very few boats and the diving feels exploratory rather than routine. The coastline is rugged — desert mountains meeting the Arabian Sea — and below the surface are healthy reefs, pelagic visitors and the kind of quiet you only get somewhere the crowds have not found yet. It is a trip for divers who like a bit of frontier with their regulator.

Days 1–2
Fly into Muscat, board the liveaboard, briefing and a check dive on a near-shore reef.
Days 3–6
Run along the coast to the lesser-known sites — up to four dives a day, with pelagics and quiet reef.
Days 7–8
A final morning dive, disembark in Muscat and a slow evening before flying home.
